Advertising on Radio in Lagos (Nigeria)

Radio Stations Recommended by Victor (Personal Recommendation)
I got a call from Dan Foster and Charles B, popular radio presenters on Inspiration fm radio, asking like several other people that have mailed and called me to ask for the source of our statistics on the Top 10 media to advertise in Nigeria. I explained before in my earlier post that the statistics given are the opinion of a research company in Lagos, it is not a final authority. The truth is that, I have the list of my own favorite radio stations and I usually recommend these stations to my Clients depending on what they are trying to push into the Nigerian Market and their target market. To be very sincere I have more than one favorite radio station, and they all reach different set of people. I don’t mean to step on toes with those statistics, but that is the findings of a research firm. I have listed my own recommended radio stations with my own evaluation of their performance and target audience. You are free to debate this if you have a different opinion from what I have here. The purpose of this report is to guide your advertising campaign when considering radio stations to advertise on in Lagos/Nigeria. I hope you find this useful.

If you are also considering advertising on radio stations in Nigeria, remember to contact Victor for Radio Stations current rates, and the best price anyone can place the advert for you. Enjoy.

Radio Stations Rating in Nigeria (Lagos, Abuja, Portharcourt). Part 2

Last week I listed the top ten most read Newspapers in Nigeria. I got lots of responses from that post, people asking what the source of our statistics is. I responded by saying ‘they are responses we got from interviewing people at various regions in Nigeria and this research was carried out by a top research firm in Nigeria. Part of the job description of this research firm is also to help you track and monitor your advertising campaigns, please don’t forget to contact me in you ever need such service.

This week I will be listing the top 10 Radio stations in Nigeria. We believe this report is supposed to help you plan your advertising campaign. I also want people to bear in mind that this statistics can change from time to time depending on other external factors. For example; the class of people you are trying to reach can influence the station you should place your advert in. Not everyone will listen to a vernacular speaking station and not everyone will want to listen to an all English speaking station either. Every station has their target audience. You have to also do your investigations and research to determine which station is best suited for your advertising campaign. Lots of people have mailed and called me, asking for media rating or statistics in Nigeria. I know lots of people are confused as to which newspaper to advertise in and get the best response in Nigeria, I always advice people that it depends on their target market and where they are located. That is why I have taken time today to write on the media statistics you should consider before placing Newspaper Ad in Nigerian Newspapers. These statistics are people’s opinion taken on the street. We are not claiming to be absolute with these figures, but the statistics are from a research firm, that has taken timeout to take surveys from people on the street. We hope you find this information useful. I intend to publish for other media later in the month. You can read about Newspaper Ad and the benefits in Nigeria on this link http://victorariyibi.blogspot.com/2009/04/newspaper-advertising-in-nigeria.html .
